Training Through WIA
If you are in need of training to start your career, further your career, or keep your present job, WIA may be able to help. It must be determined through assessment and counseling that you indeed need training, that you are a good candidate to complete the training, and that the training is in a demand occupation. If all the above is true, you may be eligible for an Individual Training Account. This I.T.A. is a "voucher" that enables you to shop and choose your own training provider (school, technical center, etc.). This training provider must be on the list of eligible training providers maintained by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission. You can access this list online at the Tennessee Higher Education Commission or at the Career Center in Jackson or the office nearest you. TN Career Center of Jackson |
